I earned my Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from the University of Wyoming, where I focused on non-profit and community development. Driven by a passion for cultivating communities of interest and sparking meaningful change, I continued my education journey at Colorado State University and completed my Master of Social Work (MSW) with an Advanced Generalist concentration.
My journey in the non-profit world began as a Policy and Development intern, where I eagerly took on new responsibilities across both direct service and administration. In 2021, I stepped into my first full-time development role with KUNC and The Colorado Sound, and I’ve been proud to serve in the non-profit development space ever since. Public radio is such a critical institution for communities in northern Colorado, and I was proud to play a part in supporting our local stations in their pursuit of fact-based storytelling. Serving as the Development Director for Project Self-Sufficiency, I am honored to focus on donor stewardship and securing funding to support the incredible single parents who are focused on creating brighter futures to sustain their families for generations to come.
One of my favorite parts of working in development is connecting with donors and funders who share our values. I love hearing their stories—how they first connected with our mission and the impact they’ve seen in our Northern Colorado community. These conversations remind me why this work matters.
In my free time, I enjoy reading sci-fi novels, listening to economics podcasts, riding around town on my bike, and playing Dungeons and Dragons with my friends and partner. These moments of joy and connection give me the energy I need for the work I do every day.
Whether you are just getting to know Project Self-Sufficiency or are a long-time supporter, I would enjoy connecting. Feel free to reach out and schedule a visit or call at connor@bringthepower.org or 970.829.5166.
